I make movies using Windows Movie Maker, but what they tell you for subtitles is not what I'm expecting. I want closed captioning or subtitles for the hearing impaired (I myself am hearing impaired). I want to show a movie to my English as a Second Language students. The DVD disc is closed captioned. However, it doesn't work when I play the movie on a DVD player connected to a projector. When you activate closed captioning on a TV, it is reading text burried in the video signal. The TV has the ability to decode it. Your projector does not, it's not common for them to have it.

Are you using the same DVD player in both cases? because what you say make no sense. In DVDs, the subtitles are generated by the player itself and put as a video overlay on top of the video (you don't need to do CC on the display).


Do you see the whole video on the projector? Maybe you have the wrong aspect mode and you cut the subtitles.


Make sure you select the appropriate Language from the DVD menu and that the projector is set in the correct aspect mode.

Nothing could be simplier in Photoshop. If you don't have PS, which you obviously don't, you can probably do the same thing in GIMP.

Anyway, you just create a new,, blank ';canvas';. FILE - NEW. You type in the size you want, in this case you could put in 8.5 for width and 11 for length, (in inches). Also be sure you set the resolution number to the same as your photos. You then just drag your two photos into the new canvas. You can then open the TEXT tool and type any captions you want for the photos, then print out the sheet.

I'm assuming you're on a normal TV, not high def. That was a common complaint about that game, and no fix that I have heard of exists.

There are a handful of movies on iTunes that have subtitles. The description of the movie will indicate it if you look hard enough. Do an Internet search on ';itunes subtitles'; and you'll see that people have been reporting this issue for years and all Apple sees fit to do is refund people their money if they complain. My strong suggestion is to check out other video on demand (VOD) sites and give one of them your business. Netflix is one, but there are others. Then send Apple an E-mail and tell them why you won't use their product.Do movies bought though iTunes come with subtitles and/or are they Closed Captioned?
Sadly, Apple has not yet released movies with subtitles or closed captioned videos.





Perhaps you could write to them - I think it would be a fair request for them to give you the option of Subtitles if you want them... especially for people such as your wife.

How do i turn off closed captioning?

I have a Toshiba Toshiba MW20FP1 TV, and all of a sudden the captions have been turned on. My roommate and i aren't sure of how it happened. We have no idea how to turn it off. We no longer have the original remote, we have a universal remote (radioshack family favorites 5-in-1 remote). There is also no menu button on the front of the tv and the menu doesn't open when we press it on the remote. Also, there is no closed captioning button anywhere. All versions of Windows has what is called ';paint';. Just click ';start'; then ';programs'; then ';accessories';.





Open up Paint, import your picture, choose text and type away. Then save the image as the file name you want or the same as before.





Text is the ';A'; icon. Click the icon, then click and drag a box where and the size you want. Then release mouse, type in message. You can resize it, move it, change its colors, put in a color background by drawing w/ the paint brush, etc.

If you have the picture you want like in photobucket.com or flickr.com under the picture it should give you the option for HTML direct link: or something like that..just copy the link and paste it in the caption part.
