Do the IPod Nano and IPod Touch display closed captions/subtitles for downloaded movies?

I'd like to get an IPod Nano for someone but want to know if either displays the closed captions or subtitles, on the screen, for movies downloaded from ITunes. How about music videos ? and videos on YouTube ?
